Our client is recruiting a Senior Director to lead one of the therapy teams that comprises their Medical Practice. We are a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, social workers, speech-language therapists and learning specialists who work closely to ensure each family gets the care and attention they need.  Clinicians are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders. 

The Senior Director manages a team of psychologists and social workers providing diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment services to children. They are responsible for ensuring that our clinicians have the professional development and support they need to provide the highest quality clinical care. The Senior Director works with practice leadership to create a collaborative and supportive environment that allows our clinicians to accomplish our shared goals. 

In addition to managing the team, the Senior Director will also provide comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults. 

This is an exempt, full-time hybrid position located in their California office. 

Responsibilities: 

Clinical 

  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff and trainees; ensure high quality, evidence-based clinical care. 
  • Manage patient and family escalations. 
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards of care and best practices. 
  • Ensure that clinicians have an appropriate case mix and focus based on their professional goals and practice needs. 
  • Perform clinical activities, diagnostic evaluation, neuropsychological evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents. 

Management 

  • Support the professional growth of the teams clinical faculty; encourage and foster innovative ideas and provide opportunities for development. 
  • Assess job performance of current staff through performance evaluations. 
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing new clinicians across all clinical domains. 

Administrative 

  • Along with administrative leadership, review clinical productivity thresholds; remove barriers to meeting goals. 
  • Participate in new program development as content expert. 
  • Participate in strategic planning and support the execution of their overall goal and mission. 

Qualifications: 

  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology. 
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice in child mental healthcare. 
  • Must have current, valid, unrestricted license, or be eligible for license, to practice child and adolescent psychology or social work in the state of California. 
  • Board certification or eligible for certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology. 
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence in your field. 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team building skills. 
  • Strong teamwork ethic; positive, flexible attitude; ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups. 
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to change. 

Special Considerations: 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $185,000 - $230,000 annually.

Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
