Join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to revolutionizing the car seat industry. Our client is seeking a visionary Head of Product Management, Consumer Products, EMEA to lead their product category strategy, driving profitable growth, increasing market share, and enhancing our brand value.

In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive category strategies, conduct in-depth market research, and champion products through the development process. You will also drive go-to-market excellence, manage financial performance, and lead a high-performing team to achieve business objectives and support career growth.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Leipheim. (4 days required in office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies, including a 3-year strategic plan and bi-annual category reviews.
  • Create and manage new product roadmaps, margin improvement strategies, and commercialization plans.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to uncover consumer needs, buying habits, and product opportunities.
  • Analyze market, channel, and competitive landscapes to inform category strategies.
  • Own and develop a 3-year product roadmap, defining business cases, value propositions, and product requirements.
  • Champion products through the development process from concept to launch, ensuring critical success factors and metrics are achieved.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market and product positioning strategies.
  • Present product plans and strategies to key channels, customers, and countries.
  • Review product performance, profitability, and market trends monthly, implementing root cause analysis and countermeasures as needed.
  • Develop and evaluate pricing strategies across the product portfolio.
  • Assess product performance to identify sales opportunities and SKU rationalization.
  • Manage product forecasting at launch and end-of-life phases, collaborating with sales and supply chain teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives and support career growth.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of progressive product marketing experience, particularly in consumer durables and new product portfolio management with P&L ownership.
  • Experience in channel marketing, category management, or product development across multiple regions is a plus.
  • Proven track record of strategic and tactical business impact with top and bottom-line results.
  • Demonstrable leadership capabilities with effective planning, prioritizing, organizing, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in expenses, product forecasting, and business metrics.
  • Solid knowledge of New Product Development tollgate processes.
  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, including international travel.
