Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Nursing Process

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to promote positive patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions.
  • Follow infection control protocols and standard precautions when handling patients and materials.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, collecting information from patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Identify patient care needs and develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Implement nursing interventions that align with established patient care standards and coordinate with other healthcare disciplines.
  • Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.

Clinical Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other nursing personnel as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education & Certification

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or completion of a Nursing Diploma program, Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) preferred .
  • Licensure: Active RN license in Arizona or a Compact State RN license.
  • Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Unit-Specific Requirement

  • Medical-Surgical Unit: Basic EKG competency must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • De-escalation Techniques course within 6 months of hire and every 2 years thereafter
