JOB PURPOSE

This role is focused on Quality in the Market by supporting the customer and consumer facing segment of Unilever. Daily activities include implementing, executing, improving, and providing quality support to SC operations, logistics and warehousing, systems, customer service, Legal, Brand; and includes Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, regulatory compliance, care line support, on-shelf assessments/improvements, and marketplace issue/incident management.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Deployment of IC Quality strategy, governance, and goals through Pakistan Quality specific projects and targets
  • Participates in communication of local regulatory requirements and changes and supports work with Quality partner teams to ensure compliance at manufacturing sites and warehouses.
  • Supports interface with Consumer / Customer care lines for feedback and coordinate in closure.
  • Drive local marketplace product quality incident management and consequent actions.
  • Coordinate and lead Good Cold Chain Practices (GCCP) across all IC cold chain (primary and secondary) including quality audits and temperature governance.
  • Ensure CRQS and quality checks at primary, secondary and market place/IC cabinets and develop reporting and escalation mechanism.
  • Leads or supports development of Q improvement activities based on the monitoring and manipulation of marketplace data from multiple channels (e.g. consumer & customer care lines, Digital Voice of the Consumer, on shelf inspections, warehouse & re-packer data, employee observations, etc.)
  • Supports improvement projects related to import / export, Innovation Quality, customer quality, and logistics quality. Manage Inter company quality agreements (ICQA)
  • Supports digital agenda of Pakistan Quality team like execution and deployment of Quality One & inhouse digital capabilities to improve agility.
  • To assist in supplier quality program, audits, and improvement projects. Supplier non-conformance closures and reduction of material rejections in partnership with procurement

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experience & Qualifications

  • University degree in technical discipline or general sciences. Preferred: Food Science degree, Engineering, Chemistry
  • Additional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Logistics or Customer Service
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in quality or manufacturing in an FMCG environment
  • External certifications like ISO 9001, 22000, FSSC 22000
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, structured problem solving and continuous improvement concepts and practices with exceptional analytical, root-cause-analysis skills
  • Manufacturing technology knowledge in the areas in which Unilever operates.
  • Flexibility and motivation; you are a self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly and effectively, with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You are comfortable working in digital systems. Proficient in SAP and Microsoft tools, especially Excel.
