Job Summary

We are seeking a Custodial Technician to provide professional cleaning and maintenance services for a federal facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow strict sanitation and safety protocols. This role requires adherence to federal cleaning regulations, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation of offices, restrooms, common areas, and workspaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces following OSHA and federal cleaning guidelines.
  • Properly handle and dispose of trash, recycling, and hazardous waste materials.
  • Maintain and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and other janitorial necessities.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers.
  • Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling protocols.
  • Report facility maintenance issues such as plumbing leaks, broken fixtures, and electrical concerns.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements and facility cleaning schedules.
  • Support emergency cleaning and sanitation needs as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ years in custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions regarding cleaning procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
    • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Must be able to pass a federal background check and fingerprinting as required for access to government facilities.

Work Schedule & Additional Information:

  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 3:00 PM 8:00 PM (subject to change based on contract requirements).
  • Contingency: This position is contingent upon contract award; employment is not guaranteed until the contract is officially awarded.
  • Pay Rate: $20 - $21 (based on experience)
