About Stayd

Stay'd is a consortium of best-in-class short-term rental management companies building one unified brand across multiple US markets. As we grow, the team grows — and that's where you come in. You'll help find, hire, and onboard the people who power every brand in the portfolio, and make sure every hire is set up right and by the book. This is a fast, hungry culture where we move quickly and win as a team.

The Role

You'll work at the holdco level alongside our Talent & People Operations Specialist, sharing the recruiting load while taking the lead on onboarding and new-hire compliance across every company in the Stayd collective. Your time splits roughly 60% recruiting, 30% onboarding, and the rest on HR compliance and admin. On recruiting, you partner closely with the Talent & People Operations Specialist to keep pipelines full and candidates moving — this is a collaborative effort, not a solo one. Where you own the outcome is after the offer: welcoming new hires, running a smooth onboarding, getting their paperwork right, and making sure every member company stays compliant and audit-ready. You wear multiple hats, you figure things out, and you make sure no candidate, no start date, and no document slips through the cracks.

What You'll Do

Recruiting (in partnership with the Talent & People Operations Specialist)

  • Partner on full-cycle recruiting — sourcing, screening, scheduling, and coordinating interviews across multiple roles, brands, and markets.
  • Keep pipelines full and candidates warm and moving; divide and conquer the hiring load with the Talent & People Operations Specialist.
  • Respond to applicants fast. A great candidate experience starts with speed.
  • Help write and keep job descriptions and postings current.
  • Keep the ATS clean and current — every candidate, every stage, every note.

Onboarding (you lead)

  • Run onboarding end to end so every new hire is welcomed, informed, and productive from day one.
  • Coordinate start dates, accounts, tools, and first-week setup across the relevant member company.
  • Be the new hire's go-to contact through their first weeks, and hand off cleanly to their manager.
  • Continuously improve the onboarding experience and documentation as we scale.

Compliance & HR Admin (you own)

  • Own new-hire compliance across all Stayd member companies — collect, verify, and track I-9 documentation and ensure every form is completed correctly and on time.
  • Keep employee records, offer paperwork, and onboarding documentation accurate, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Stay on top of required forms and deadlines for each company, and flag gaps before they become problems.
  • Support the HR Director on ad-hoc projects and process improvements as priorities shift.

What We're Tracking

  • Contribution to roles filled per month and time-to-fill
  • Pipeline health and candidate response time
  • Onboarding completion — every new hire fully set up by day one
  • Quality of hire (new hires who stick through onboarding and ramp)
  • I-9 and new-hire compliance — 100% of documents completed on time and audit-ready

Who You Are

  • 1–3 years in recruiting, HR, or a related field, with hands-on experience supporting hiring.
  • Experience with (or a fast learner on) US new-hire compliance and paperwork — I-9s and onboarding documentation. You take compliance seriously.
  • Experience hiring or onboarding for US-based teams is a plus.
  • Organized and detail-obsessed — you keep trackers, records, and deadlines airtight.
  • A strong collaborator who works well alongside others and shares ownership cleanly.
  • AI-native or AI-curious. You use AI tools daily and reach for automation before manual work.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking on tasks outside a strict job description. Bias toward action.
  • ATS-fluent and comfortable staying organized during high-volume, cross-brand hiring.
  • Available to work US business hours (Eastern Time overlap) to stay in sync with the team and hiring managers.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Self-directed and dependable in a remote setup — reliable computer, stable high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR compliance, I-9/E-Verify, or contractor documentation across multiple entities.
  • Experience building or improving onboarding programs from scratch.
  • Familiarity with ATS and HRIS tools, and with hiring across multiple LATAM markets.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work with a team that values autonomy and ownership.
  • Direct mentorship from and close collaboration with the HR Director and the Talent & People Operations team.
  • A high-impact role where your work directly shapes who joins the company and how they start.
  • Room to grow as Stayd grows.
