About the Role

Finance & Accounts Supervisor will oversee daily financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards, supports the month-end closing process, and supervises the finance and accounting staff. The supervisor will also be involved in preparing budgets and forecasts, analyzing financial data, and assisting in audits.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

    • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with the budget

    • Support management with financial analysis to assist in decision-making

  • Supervision of Accounting Operations:
    • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments

    • Monitor and review the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to ensure proper recording of financial transactions

    • Supervise the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and key accounts

  • Month-End & Year-End Closing:
    • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

    • Review journal entries and adjustments as part of the closing process

    • Ensure all financial deadlines are met according to company and regulatory guidelines

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the companys annual budget

    • Work with different departments to gather and analyze budget data

    • Monitor expenses against the approved budget and provide variance reports

  • Tax Compliance & Regulatory Filings:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations

    • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.)

    • Work with external auditors and tax authorities as required

  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
    • Ensure proper internal financial controls are in place and adhered to

    • Review and improve processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations

    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports

  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Assist in managing and forecasting the companys cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity

    • Review cash disbursements, monitor collections, and manage cash reserves

  • Internal Controls & Audits:
    • Support internal audits and ensure the accuracy of accounting information

    • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets

    • Provide recommendations for improving internal processes and financial practices

  • Team Management:
    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and interns

    • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure efficient workflows and accurate reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or related field

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (Professional certifications like CPD is a plus)

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles, with prior supervisory experience

  • Strong experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end closing processes

  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management is preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based in the Rama9 area, Bangkok.

  • Regular office hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., Monday to Friday
