About the Role
As the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all commercial activities for the company. You will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will play a critical role in driving the company's revenue growth and commercial success. Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive sales, revenue, and market share
Oversee the management and performance of the sales team, including setting targets, coaching, and performance management
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, strategic alliances, and market expansion
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform commercial decision-making
Collaborate with the marketing team to align commercial activities with brand and customer acquisition efforts
Manage commercial budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
Represent the company externally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers
Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team on commercial initiatives and opportunities
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies that drive revenue growth
Strong sales management and team leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales organization
Excellent strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Proficient in using various sales and commercial management tools (e.g. CRM, sales forecasting, metrics analysis)
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
