The client is a leading Southeast Asian investment platform democratizing venture capital to empower early-stage startups. They go beyond just providing capital to our portfolio companies, also providing resources and mentorship to unlock the startup’s potential and build a more inclusive and sustainable future for the region.

As Senior Investment Manager, you will report directly to the Founders, be a part of the founding team and play a crucial role in shaping the investment portfolio and overall strategic direction of our platform and fund. They are looking for highly passionate and driven individuals, who bring the right balance of entrepreneurial spirit and investment experience to identify and execute strategic investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine the company's investment strategy and thesis in alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct thorough due diligence, and lead transaction execution processes.
  • Actively manage relationships with portfolio companies, offering support on operational, financial, and growth initiatives.
  • Foster strategic partnerships between portfolio companies and core stakeholders within the company's network of angel investors and family offices.
  • Analyze industry landscapes and trends to inform investment decisions and strategies.
  • Monitor the performance of portfolio investments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment proposals and presentations for executive review.
  • Coach, develop and mentor a team of analysts & associates in their career development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
  • Preferably 3-5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting or related fields. Prior startup or entrepreneurial experience, will be a huge plus.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling techniques, valuation methods, and analytical skills.
  • Successful track record of deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management including deal origination and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and conduct detailed risk/reward analysis.
  • Strong network across the global venture capital/private equity community.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and hands-on problem-solving mentality.
  • Strong top-down communications & presentation skills (both written & oral), and ability to engage with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and result-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Track record and experience of incubating and scaling or operating new businesses is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English (both written & oral); proficiency in Thai is advantageous.
