Their offices are scattered across the ASEAN region and are expanding, with their headquarters in Singapore and subsidiaries in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

They provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of their clients by delivering via two separate departments, General Laboratory and Molecular & Clinical Research. They have been helping numerous clients in many industries such as government/private hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical devices industry, F&B manufacturing, commercial testing centres, environment, public health centres, service laboratories, learning institutes and research-intensive universities.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will launch new products for the Lifescience Research section. You will work with their regional and local teams to get the right products and perform feasibility tests for these products in Thailand by doing market research and working closely with KOLs to build strong market needs. Your role involves leading, inspiring, and strategizing to ensure that their product portfolio reaches new heights across various market areas successfully by working closely with the sales and marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce new products to the market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses, and establishing achievable time schedules
  • Formulate strategies and business plans for product management and growth
  • Develop strategy for promotional campaigns & build tactical plans within the marketing budgets
  • Lead the development of promotional activities

  • Manage key accounts and identify new customers

  • Evaluate customer needs and market competition

  • Contribute to the sales rolling forecast in cooperation with the sales team

  • Manage sales strategies to improve market share and profitability for the business
  • Provide regular reports to management on market/customer/sales movements including market trends of new and existing products in the Thailand market
  • Foster and build brand image in the market as a one-stop reliable partner for all their needs

Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelors in Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant product management experience

  • Familiarity with the Lifescience Research market and its customers

  • Experience in handling new product launches and exploring new customers

  • Good proficiency (spoken and written) in English

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven track record in influencing and building loyal customer relationships

  • A dynamic team player with the ability to work independently
