Our Client is a private venture capital firm focused on early stage start ups in Thailand and Southeast Asia. They are a young and rapidly growing company with a portfolio across food and hospitality, digital platforms and e-commerce, and healthcare and clean tech.
They are looking for a Principal who will play a critical role in driving the continued success.
In this role, you will be responsible for originating and executing exceptional investment deals across Southeast Asia, leveraging your deep network and deal sourcing expertise. As a Principal, you will work closely with the Partners to identify, evaluate, and close high-potential investments, disbursing annual investment capital.
Responsibilities
Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities across Southeast Asia, aligned with the investment thesis.
Conduct thorough due diligence on identified opportunities, leading deal analysis and presenting compelling investment cases.
Manage deal negotiation and execution processes, ensuring smooth and successful transactions.
Maintain and build strong relationships with key players in the Southeast Asian ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
Actively support the Partners in all aspects of the investment process, providing strategic insights and execution support.
Stay current on market trends and developments in Southeast Asia, identifying emerging opportunities and risks.
Assist with portfolio management and support portfolio companies as needed.
You will report directly to the Managing Partner.
Qualifications
5-10+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking, with a strong track record of deal origination and execution.
Proven ability to source and evaluate high-quality investment opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Extensive network of relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, investors, and other key players in the Southeast Asian ecosystem.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business models and market dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English (and native Thai preferred)
