About the Role

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategy to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will oversee all commercial operations, including sales, marketing, business development, and customer service. The CCO will collaborate closely with other executives to ensure commercial initiatives are aligned with the broader corporate strategy


Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement the company's comprehensive commercial strategy
  • Oversee the sales, marketing, business development, and customer service functions
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities
  • Lead the development and execution of effective marketing campaigns and sales initiatives
  • Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of commercial activities
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing team of commercial leaders and their departments
  • Build strategic partnerships and represent the company in external engagements
  • Provide strategic input to the CEO and executive team on commercial matters
  • Monitor industry developments and adjust commercial strategies accordingly

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior-level experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably in a relevant industry
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability
  • Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen to formulate and execute commercial plans
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis and using metrics to inform commercial decision-making
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred

  • Adaptable leadership style to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
