About the Role

As a Finance & Accounting Manager, you will oversee financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, and compliance, to ensure the clinics efficiency and profitability. Youll lead the finance team, manage reporting, optimize processes, and collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals.

Responsibilities

Finance and Accounting Operations

  • Manage daily finance and accounting operations, including cash management, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Oversee cash flow and treasury functions to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.
  • Manage financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual) and prepare detailed management and financial reports.
  • Reconcile company balances and resolve discrepancies (e.g., accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, assets, stock).
  • Make GAAP adjustments to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee asset management and project cost control to minimize risk and maximize returns.

Budgeting and Financial Analysis

  • Create and manage budgets for petty cash, operational expenses, and customer gifts.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for clinic purchases (e.g., products, services, stationery, back-office supplies).
  • Analyze costs for overhead, consumables, and manpower, particularly for membership-based services.
  • Regularly update cost sheets for real-time financial accuracy.
  • Prepare financial data and ad hoc reports to support management decision-making.

Pricing and POS Management

  • Set service and product pricing in alignment with profitability and pricing policies.
  • Update the Point of Sale (POS) system with new or revised pricing.
  • Edit and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for procurement, stock management, reimbursements, and payroll processes.
  • Ensure workflows adhere to best practices and align with clinic goals.

Collaboration and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate fiscal files and accounting documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, accounting firms, and consultants for audits, tax submissions, and refunds.
  • Coordinate with banks and regulatory authorities for smooth financial operations and legal compliance.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the Finance/Accounting team for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPD Certification is a plus.
  • Proven managerial experience in Finance/Accounting, ideally in a clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, resolve discrepancies, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial information to non-financial colleagues.
