We're looking for a Head of Mall Operations & Facilities to oversee the smooth functioning of our facilities and provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers. Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the shopping mall, ensuring smooth functioning of all facilities, services, and amenities
Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of the mall's facilities, including common areas, parking lots, elevators, escalators, restrooms, and landscaping
Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of visitors, tenants, and staff. Coordinate with security personnel and emergency response teams to handle any incidents effectively
Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing their concerns, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with lease agreements and mall policies
Develop and manage budgets for operations and maintenance activities. Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts with vendors, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service standards
Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction by addressing feedback, implementing improvements, and organizing events or promotions to enhance the overall shopping experience
Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations relevant to mall operations and facilities management
Lead and motivate a team of operations and facilities management professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in facilities management is desirable
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, property management, or related roles, preferably in a retail or commercial real estate environment
Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse team, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Comprehensive understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and facilities management best practices. Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety protocols is essential
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges, resolve conflicts, and implement effective solutions in a dynamic environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders effectively. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development, expense management, and cost control measures. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation
