Our client is a large-scale physical retail mall managed like a startup as it reinvents and is reborn into an entirely new concept. They have redefined their retail with a "Fit by Day, Fun by Night" concept, offering a unique blend of stores, restaurants, and fitness establishments in a sprawling 180,000 sqm space.

The Procurement Manager Mall oversees all procurement activities to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for the mall's operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products and services that meet the mall's operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practices with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards, and costing

  • Prepare a Procurement Plan and be responsible for all turnkey services

  • Ensure that all types of Insurance and Company Licenses are active

  • Evaluate the performance of suppliers and report on this regularly.

  • Work with all departments to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.

  • Responsible for order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, material replenishment, vendor list, and supplier performance

  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate Service Level Agreement, continuously

  • Payment terms negotiation, optimization, and management

  • Maintain contracts with vendors

  • Receive orders from various departments

  • Initiate and keep track of orders

  • Receive, inspect, and distribute orders

  • Administration and reporting as necessary

  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics, business management, or a similar field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Supervisory and management experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage

  • Experience in sustainable procurement practices

Working Condition

  • This is a full-time position

  • Regular office hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., Monday to Friday

  • This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend industry events

  • Flexibility in working hours may be required to meet the demands of the role, including overseeing deliveries or resolving urgent procurement issues
