About the Role
You will support managing and overseeing the daily financial and accounting operations for the company. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with financial regulations, and supports strategic financial planning. The Assistant Manager will also assist in budgeting, audits, and improving financial and accounting procedures and controls as well as report to Manager Accounting and Chief Finance Officer.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in compliance with accounting standards
Assist in the consolidation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts
Monitor budget variances and provide analysis of discrepancies
Provide support for the formulation of short- and long-term financial plans
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Review aging reports and work with the team to minimize overdue balances
Resolve vendor and customer payment issues promptly
- General Ledger Maintenance:
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger
Assist in the preparation of monthly closing activities and reconciliations
Maintain and update accounting systems and processes as needed
- Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure the company complies with local, state, and federal tax regulations
Assist in preparing tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, etc.
Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors during audits and reviews
- Internal Controls & Audits:
Support internal audits and ensure the accuracy of accounting information
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
Provide recommendations for improving internal processes and financial practices
- Team Management:
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and interns
Coordinate with the finance team to ensure efficient workflows and accurate reporting
Assist in training staff on financial systems and accounting practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or related field
8-10 years of working experience in the accounting area, CPD is preferred
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Leadership abilities to mentor and supervise junior staff
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Problem-solving skills to address financial challenges
High ethical standards and integrity in handling financial transactions
Willingness to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and industry trends

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position based in the Rama9 area, Bangkok.
Regular office hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., Monday to Friday
