Our client is a large-scale physical retail mall managed like a startup as it reinvents and is reborn into an entirely new concept. They have redefined their retail with a "Fit by Day, Fun by Night" concept, offering a unique blend of stores, restaurants, and fitness establishments in a sprawling 180,000 sqm space.

The client is seeking an Event Sales Manager to develop and implement strategies for retail event spaces, targeting corporations, organizers, and promoters. The role involves building client relationships, conducting presentations, negotiating deals, understanding client needs, coordinating event execution, overseeing logistics, and managing vendor contracts. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with marketing on campaigns, generate leads, manage budgets, track sales metrics, ensure regulatory compliance, and align sales with business goals through teamwork and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for selling retail open space for events, targeting potential clients like corporations, event organizers, and promoters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business and referrals, conducting sales presentations, site tours, and negotiations.
  • Understand client event needs and requirements, coordinating with internal teams for smooth event execution and overseeing event setup, logistics, and on-site management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands, identifying new event opportunities and proposing innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials and campaigns, using social media, email marketing, and attending industry events and trade shows to generate leads.
  • Develop and manage event budgets for cost efficiency and profitability, providing regular reports on sales activities, event performance, and financial outcomes.
  • Track and analyze sales metrics for success measurement and improvement, ensuring high standards of quality and client satisfaction for all events.
  • Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and legal regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
  • Align event sales with overall business goals in collaboration with the retail management team, working with marketing, operations, and finance teams for cohesive event planning and participating in strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in event sales, management, and coordination.
  • Experience in retail or hospitality industry preferred.

  • Familiarity with venue sales, client negotiations, and event planning.
