About the job Regional Head of Social Media
Our client is one of Asias most vibrant and progressive independent media houses. Our portfolio includes a variety of successful regional publishing brands in lifestyle and luxury markets across Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand; active in 17 countries, employs more than 12,000 people, and publishes around 600 products.
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Head of Social Media to lead the social media operations for our teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and India. This role will be responsible for the social media content strategy and the ideal candidate should have a strong background in both data analysis and strategy and be a veteran of the Asian lifestyle scene. Reporting to the Regional Director of Digital Operations, the candidate will create strategies to strengthen and grow the brands social presence and work closely with the local social media and video teams.
With services ranging from social media account management to styling consultations and media outreach, this role will have exposure to multiple brands within the network.
Responsibilities
- Growing our social media followings on all channels with a focus on Instagram and TikTok
- Develop and launch engaging campaigns that drive business goals (audience growth, engagement, reach, acquisition)
Implement and measure social media content daily across all relevant channels with a focus on data and trend analysis
Implement a comprehensive competitor and KOL tracking system that allows us to push out news first and be ahead of the curve
Lead all communication with local social and editorial leads sharing best practices
Launch, grow, and manage new (sub-)channels where relevant, ensuring milestones are set and met
Identify emerging trends and communities that our brands can grow into to expand our reach and followership
Work on strategic partnership opportunities with brands and platforms to create new business opportunities
Work closely with the digital team and the local social media managers to ensure content and design are aligned throughout the group
Assist in maximizing social sales opportunities, while developing strategies, goals, timelines, partnerships, and tools that help achieve business goals
Maintain relationships with external and internal teams to brief and manage original content for distribution
Qualifications
5+ years of digital marketing experience, and social media content creation and distribution required (editorial or brand)
Proven track record managing and growing social platforms Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and more
In-depth understanding of social media tools, analytics tools, and social marketing technology
Ability to spot trends and news proactively and ahead of our competitors across different fields, especially entertainment, food, and lifestyle brands and news
Proficient with tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Later as well as Facebook
Excellent writing and communication skills in English
