About the Role
As the Technology Director at Stratus Technologies, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of our company's technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the alignment of our technology roadmap with the overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company's long-term technology strategy, ensuring it supports the organization's growth and competitive positioning
Lead a team of talented technology professionals, including software engineers, infrastructure specialists, and data analysts
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the business and recommending appropriate adoption strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technology-related challenges, driving solutions that enhance productivity, security, and user experience
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of complex technology systems, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
Manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation and aligning investments with strategic priorities
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to explore innovative approaches and adopt best practices
Represent the company's technology capabilities to external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry forums
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling technology teams and initiatives
Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, software development, infrastructure management, and emerging technology trends
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business objectives and drive organizational change
