Their offices are scattered across the ASEAN region and are expanding, with their headquarters in Singapore and subsidiaries in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

They provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of their clients by delivering via two separate departments, General Laboratory and Molecular & Clinical Research. They have been helping numerous clients in many industries such as government/private hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical devices industries, F&B manufacturing, commercial testing centres, environment, public health centres, service laboratories, learning institutes, and research-intensive universities.

About the Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding their presence and launching new products in the IVD Healthcare sector. This position requires proactive leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to execute plans effectively. You will collaborate closely with regional and local teams to conduct market research, engage key opinion leaders (KOLs), and drive the development of innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition:
    • Generate leads through proactive outreach and cold calling to prospective customers

    • Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for expanding the client base

  • Business Analysis and Solution Delivery:
    • Understand customer requirements thoroughly to conduct business analysis and develop executable plans
    • Ensure timely and successful delivery of business solutions that meet customer needs and objectives
  • Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business opportunities and improve market position
    • Provide insights into industry trends and identify new opportunities for business expansion
  • Product Knowledge and Promotion:
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of their products and services
    • Participate in promotional activities, sales events, and exhibitions to showcase products and build brand presence
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and achieve business goals
    • Provide guidance and advice on product capabilities and market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Masters / Bachelors in Medical Technology / Biotechnology / Sciences, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Healthcare or Life Science business development, sales, or product management
  • Proven track record in new product launches and expanding customer base

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in verbal and written English
  • Ability to work independently while also being a dynamic team player

  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding business objectives

  • Creative thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and set strategic aims
