About the Role
The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing and executing the company's comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CSO will oversee all sales, business development, and client success functions across the organization. The CSO will work closely with the executive team to ensure sales initiatives are aligned with the overall corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the company's sales strategy and go-to-market approach
- Lead and manage the global sales, business development, and client success teams
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to identify new sales opportunities
- Develop and execute effective sales campaigns, proposals, and contract negotiations
Establish clear sales targets, performance metrics, and incentive structures
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing sales and business development organization
Collaborate with other executives to align sales initiatives with the broader corporate strategy
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers
Monitor industry developments and adjust sales strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior-level sales leadership experience, preferably in a relevant industry
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen to formulate and execute sales plans
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage with key stakeholders
- Proficient in data analysis and using metrics to inform sales decision-making
- Experience leading and motivating high-performing, global sales teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
