Senior Investment Analyst

Our client is a leading Southeast Asian investment platform democratizing venture capital to empower early-stage startups. They believe everyone should be able to own a piece of the future.

Early last year they launched an angel investment platform and a private fund to allow early-stage companies access to capital while opening up vetted opportunities to investors wanting to diversify their portfolios.

They go beyond just providing capital to portfolio companies, also providing resources and mentorship to unlock the startup’s potential and build a more inclusive and sustainable future for the region.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the syndicate's portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting due diligence on potential investment opportunities, and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies. You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer, Investment Committee, and external advisors. We are looking for highly passionate and driven individuals, who bring the right balance of entrepreneurial spirit and investment experience to identify and execute strategic investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the platform's portfolio and conduct diligence based on sector trends, competitive landscape, investment thesis, risk analysis, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by conducting periodic audits and risk assessments.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and competitor analysis, with a focus on investment risks.
• Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies to help them achieve their growth and performance targets.
• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and prepare reports for the Investment Committee and the platform’s members.
• Develop and maintain relationships with startup founders, ecosystem enablers, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to identify potential investment opportunities.
• Attend networking events and conferences to promote the platform and build a strong network within the startup founders’ communities across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field; CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
• 2+ years of experience in VC, private equity, investment banking, audit, or a related field, management consulting is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of investment thesis, due-diligence, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders. Fluency in English (both written & oral); proficiency in Thai is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of investments and handle large numbers of deals screening.
• Knowledge of early-stage startup ecosystem, market trends, and investment strategies
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
