About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements, identify business opportunities, and translate them into robust technical specifications that align with our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients and prospective customers to thoroughly understand their pain points, operational workflows, and specific POS system requirements.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, evolving customer needs, and opportunities for product differentiation.
- Collaborate with the Product, Engineering, and QA teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize feature development, and ensure seamless implementation of new functionalities.
- Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to guide the software development life cycle.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process workflows, system architecture diagrams, and user manuals to support the implementation and adoption of our POS solutions.
- Provide training and support to our sales and customer success teams to enhance their understanding of our product capabilities and value proposition.
- Analyze customer feedback, usage data, and market intelligence to identify areas for product improvement and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest POS technologies, industry regulations, and best practices to recommend strategic enhancements to our product portfolio.
- Represent the voice of the customer within the organization and advocate for solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst
- Proven track record of translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and successfully driving the implementation of complex software solutions
- Proficient in conducting user research, data analysis, and process mapping to identify pain points and optimize workflows
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance customer needs with technical feasibility and business objectives
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment
- Passion for the retail technology industry and a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of point-of-sale solutions
