Chief Business Development Officer

Our Client is a leading Southeast Asian investment platform democratizing venture capital to empower early-stage startups. They launched an angel investment platform and a private fund to allow early-stage companies access to capital while opening up vetted opportunities to investors that want to diversify their portfolio.

They are on the lookout for a charismatic and strategic leader to join our founding team as the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). In this pivotal role, you'll be the face of our company, championing the exciting world of Venture Capital (VC) in Southeast Asia and driving the growth of our venture portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead initiatives to elevate the firm as a leading force in Southeast Asian VC ecosystem. This involves educating potential investors, collaborating with industry & corporate leaders, government agencies and fostering a vibrant VC ecosystem in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and wealth advisors. You'll champion the firm's investment opportunities and secure significant capital commitments.

• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and meetings; both regionally and globally. You'll be a captivating storyteller, effectively communicating our investment thesis and the value we bring to entrepreneurs and investors.

• Work closely with the investment team to understand their needs and identify potential business development opportunities to maintain a strong grasp of all our portfolio companies and their business development needs.

Qualifications

• You're a seasoned business development professional with a proven track record of success in building strong relationships and securing high-value deals.

• You possess a deep understanding of the Thai and Southeast Asian business landscape, particularly within the technology and startup ecosystems.

• You're a fluent communicator in both Thai and English, with the ability to connect with audiences from diverse backgrounds.

• You have a genuine enthusiasm for Venture building, Venture Capital and the potential it holds to unlock groundbreaking innovations.

• You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are comfortable operating at a strategic level.
