About the Role

The Corporate Director of Human Resources is a senior leadership role responsible for attracting, building, and retaining the workforce the group needs today and over the next ten years.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Executive Committee, this person will lead the transformation and rebuilding of the group's HR systems, learning infrastructure, workforce strategy, and culture.

The role oversees Corporate HR functions, HR shared services, and the property HR network across multiple hotels and properties, including owned, managed, and pre-opening projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall HR transformation across the group, including workforce strategy, culture, systems, learning, recruitment, talent, and employee relations.
  • Develop one-year and three-year workforce plans covering succession, external recruitment needs, and labour costs.
  • Build a stronger labour supply strategy and talent pipeline, including school partnerships and recruitment channels beyond agencies.
  • Consolidate people data into one corporate database and establish consistent HR processes across the group.
  • Rebuild the learning function into an academy focused on certification, career paths, leadership development, and internal mobility.
  • Lead the group's culture transformation and embed its values into hiring, onboarding, performance management, promotion, recognition, and exit processes.
  • Own productivity initiatives, including labour costs, manning guides, spans of control, rostering, and the overall value proposition for employees.
  • Lead HR technology and automation initiatives and assess how automation will impact the workforce and future skills requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with labour law, PDPA, applicable standards, payroll accuracy, employee wellbeing, and employee relations.
  • Work closely with General Managers, Department Heads, Finance, Commercial teams, owners, asset managers, universities, and other external partners.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience rebuilding or transforming a people function, with clear evidence of impact and results.
  • Experience solving workforce or labour supply challenges in a competitive or tight labour market.
  • Experience managing labour costs and presenting or defending people-related investments to owners, senior leadership, or a board.
  • Experience implementing HR systems or people platforms and consolidating data into a single source of truth.
  • Strong leadership development and succession planning experience, with a track record of developing leaders who progressed into senior roles.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, including General Managers, owners, and executive leadership.
  • Experience in multi-property operations, pre-openings, or management contracts is an advantage.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in operations, commercial, general management, or industries with comparable workforce challenges such as retail, healthcare, or logistics are also welcome.
  • SHRM, CIPD, equivalent professional qualifications, or postgraduate study are advantageous but not required.

Language Proficiency

  • Exceptional candidates will not be excluded based on Thai language proficiency, and language learning support may be available where needed.

Why This Opportunity?

  • A seat on the Executive Committee and direct reporting line to the Managing Director.
  • A strong mandate to rebuild and transform the HR function rather than simply maintain existing practices.

  • The opportunity to shape the people strategy of a growing hospitality group with an expanding owned, managed, and pre-opening portfolio.
