- Role Overview
- The Mechanic Technician shall perform a range of technical maintenance activities required to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant and facility equipment. The role supports equipment reliability, operational continuity, and safety compliance in alignment with NIMR maintenance standards and production objectives.
- Scope of Responsibilities
- Routines under the Mechanic technician, but not limited to the below:
- Record all equipment failures, spare parts and down time on a daily basis;
- Periodic activities on Semi-automatic painting systems equipment. Assembling and disassembling of painting equipment (guns, gear meters, valves, manifolds, pumps, etc.);
- Periodic maintenance activities in semi-automatic paint booths, fans, oil burners, as well non-planned maintenance in such type of equipment;
- Periodic and non-periodic activities in moving components and equipment (fans, gearboxes, trolleys, bearings, etc.);
- Periodic and non-periodic maintenances in pneumatic power tools (grinders, pencil grinder, impact guns, sanding machines, etc.);
- Periodic and non-periodic maintenance activities in hydraulic equipment (pumps, actuators, press brake machines, high pressure pumps);
- Periodic mechanical maintenance in cranes, overhead cranes, jib cranes etc.;
- Periodic and non-periodic maintenance in pneumatic and electro-mechanical manipulators;
- Periodic maintenance and inspections in wheel balancer equipment, tire inserter equipment, etc.;
- To be able to perform welding activities ( arc welding, MIG welding, upon maintenance necessity);
- To be able to work at height with the proper safety ingress means (ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, etc.);
- Conduct periodic preventive maintenance inspections, conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment and related maintenance reports;
