Job Summary

The Road Safety & Incident Management Specialist manages road safety, traffic incident response, on-site handling, preliminary accident analysis, evidence collection, and motor insurance claim follow-up for autonomous delivery vehicle operations — coordinating with police, transport authorities, insurers, and repair workshops to ensure incidents are resolved promptly and cases properly closed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Road Safety Management

o Conduct regular road safety inspections of operating areas and routes; identify risks related to road conditions, traffic, and operations.

o Ensure vehicles carry required safety equipment; support development of safety and incident-response procedures.

o Provide guidance/training to operations staff on traffic regulations and accident handling; recommend preventive measures based on incident trends.

2. Incident Response & On-site Handling

o Respond promptly to accidents, collisions, and safety incidents; secure the scene and protect people, vehicles, and other road users.

o Coordinate with police, transport authorities, roadside assistance, towing, and repair workshops.

o Collect photos, videos, vehicle/third-party/witness details, and police reference numbers; keep management updated.

o Coordinate vehicle recovery, repair, and return to operation.

3. Accident Analysis & Reporting

o Conduct preliminary analysis using site conditions, regulations, footage, and system data to identify contributing factors.

o Prepare accurate, objective investigation reports; recommend and follow up on corrective actions.

o Maintain accident evidence and records; never admit liability or commit to compensation without company authorisation.

4. Insurance Claims Management

o Own and continuously improve the accident-reporting and claims process; notify insurers within required timeframes.

o Submit required documentation (police reports, photos, quotations, etc.) and coordinate with insurers, workshops, finance, and legal through to case closure.

o Maintain claim records, provide status updates, and escalate delayed/disputed claims as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience may substitute), ideally in road safety, traffic management, automotive engineering, or logistics.

Experience in road safety, accident handling, fleet management, or motor insurance claims preferred.

Good knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and insurance claims processes; experience coordinating with UAE police/authorities/insurers/workshops is a plus.

Background in autonomous/electric vehicles or fleet operations is a plus.

Essential Requirements

Valid UAE driving licence with a good driving/safety record; own reliable vehicle for travel to incident sites across Abu Dhabi.

Strong accident analysis, emergency judgement, communication, and documentation/report-writing skills.

Good working English; Arabic is a plus.

Proficient in MS Office and relevant incident/insurance/operations systems.

Able to work field-based duties and respond to urgent incidents per approved duty/on-call schedule.

High integrity, safety awareness, and confidentiality.
