DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out safe handling, unloading/loading of cylinders and other materials to / from
vehicles. Counts the cylinders in stacks and in vehicles.
Identifies the cylinders and segregates them by the indicators of size, filled, empty,
EMGAS, Non-EMGAS, manufactured, retest date, abnormalities.
Takes care of sealing, stencilling, labelling, leak check and filling of cylinders.
Handles decanting of cylinders as well as hydro-testing, punching, valve fixing and
removal activities.
Identifies, segregates, and fills cylinders as per procedure. Ensures cylinders are filled
within accepted tolerance.
Carries out all jobs as advised by the Shift Supervisor including general cleaning,
housekeeping, and washing of cylinders.
Assists in equipment maintenance and does painting of cylinders, pipelines,
equipment, and vehicles.
Participate in internal trainings and briefing and gain knowledge about all products
and their safe handling practices.
Observes all safety norms and carries out his duties in accordance with prescribed
safety procedures.
Ensures that workplace hazards are reported to the Shift Supervisor/Plant Manager.
Participates in fire drills and other emergency procedures.
Takes appropriate emergency measures when required.
Knows the Companys and Environment, Health & Safety Policy, Procedures,
Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility and ensure that
they are effectively implemented in his domain.
Should be flexible to work in different shifts based on the work requirements and
weekly schedule.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS.
Minimum pass in Senior Secondary level (10 +2). Experience in oil & gas Industry is
preferred.
Good interpersonal skills to maintain cordial working relations with colleagues,
superiors, and customers.
Basic knowledge of Safety and related procedures and experience in an ISO Quality
environment will be advantageous.
Good communication skills are essential combined with the ability to read and
understand.
work instructions in English and prepare documents and maintain records.
Knowledge of other languages will be advantageous.
Basic computer knowledge especially MS office is advantageous.
Must have basic hygiene and keep staff room, pantry, and toilet areas clean.
Age: 25 to 35 preferred. Should be physically fit and healthy to do manual intensive
field.
