Role and Responsibilities

  1. Mainly working closely with contractors and employees to coordinate site activities in achieving good health and safety practice on site.
  2. Conduct daily inspection and complete HSE Inspection report.
  3. Act as HSE representative standby at site and provide continues feedback to HSE Lead
  4. Conduct monthly & Annual inspection of the following: Fire Fighting units (Extinguishers, Carts, Trolley); Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); and Escape set.
  5. Support the development of HSE intervention programs.
  6. Ensure that HSE is applied in line with the Project HSE Design Criteria, Engineering design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Mechanical Completion phases of the Project.
  7. Review and provide feedback on project specific HSE documents.
  8. Support in development of HSE legal register from local, international and industrial HSE standards and regulations.
  9. Support implementation of Contractor management system.
  10. Manage all employees reported hazard and submit close-out reports.
  11. Conduct HSE data analysis and reporting statistics trends on hazards and incident report. And submit suggestion for strategic program to address recurring HSE concerns.
  12. Conduct Incident investigation to identify root cause.
  13. Conduct examinations of work equipment', working environments and structures, and taking photographs where necessary.
  14. Ensuring workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors or appropriate types of gloves and clothing.
  15. Providing specialist advice and information on health and safety to HSE Lead and advising on changes required.
  16. Participate in Task risk assessment and provide technical HSE input.
  17. Assist to prepare Safety bulleting information's.
  18. Review Safety Procedures to align to best applicable regulations and industrial practice.
  19. Assist with Safety Campaigns preparations
  20. Assist to provide training for employees and contractors safety improvement.
  21. Assess Safety Sign requirements, report poor conditions and ensure all safety signs are maintained on site.
  22. Writing reports on results of inspections and investigations.
  23. Provide up-to-date legislative and Standard applicable to project and provide recommendation for improvement to the HSE Lead.
  24. Participate in internal audits as an auditor.
  25. Present HSE training as approved by the HSE Lead.
  26. Provide HSE supports based on the business need as requested by the HSE Lead.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to acquire an understanding of legal matters and to apply industry legislation and standards
  • Good communication skills to explain safety procedures and regulations clearly and concisely to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent in MS office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, FORM, Access etc)
  • Excellent written communication skills in English to produce reports.
  • Good negotiating, managing conflict skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure

Required Education background

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree (Science/ Engineering) Preferred in Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Additional preference will be given to candidate with a Postgraduate degree in any Health, Safety, and Environment.

TRAININGS

  • Achieved HSE certifications and trainings.

PROFESSIONAL Membership

  • A valid membership to Safety professional body.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years experience in HSE Field.

  • Work in night shift site HSE coverage when required for critical activities.
  • Valid UAE Driving license
