Position: Senior IT Support Officer


Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for various IT systems and applications. The Senior IT Support Officer will be responsible for managing and resolving complex IT issues, as well as providing guidance and support to the IT support team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

- Diagnose and resolve complex IT problems in a timely manner

- Act as a point of escalation for the IT support team and provide guidance and support as needed

- Ensure all IT systems and applications are functioning efficiently and effectively

- Monitor and maintain the company's network and server infrastructure

- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements to IT systems and processes

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures

- Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies and make recommendations for their implementation

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT systems are aligned with business needs

- Train and mentor junior IT support staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge

- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT support role

- Strong knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows and MacOS

- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V

- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
