Job Title: Welding Engineer

Job Summary

The Welding Engineer ensures the development, implementation, and monitoring of welding procedures and practices in compliance with industry codes and project specifications. This role supports fabrication, installation, and quality assurance in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensure compliance with ASME, API, and AWS standards.
• Oversee welding activities, including testing (NDT) and inspection, to ensure quality and safety.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve welding-related issues during fabrication and installation.
• Provide technical training and performance evaluation for welding personnel.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards in all welding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Welding Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Certified Welding Engineer or Inspector (AWS CWEng, CWI, CSWIP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and quality standards.
