Job Description: Maintenance Technician (Rotary Equipment - Steel Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership:
   • Lead a team in executing maintenance tasks and projects.
   • Assist in planning and diversifying spare parts supply to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
   • Act as task force leader during maintenance shutdowns.
2. Organization Development:
   • Ensure regular attendance and effective communication with supervisors and team members.
   • Collaborate with maintenance personnel for seamless plant operations.
   • Follow supervisor instructions and contribute to interplant activities.
3. Policies, Procedures, & Standards:
   • Assist in drafting maintenance procedures and adhere to company safety and health policies.
   • Execute standard maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with procedural and legislative requirements.
4. Additional Duties:
   • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for new equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Proficiency in handling rotary equipment in steel, fertilizer, or petrochemical plants.
• Basic knowledge of bearings and rotary equipment spare parts.
• Strong troubleshooting, fabrication, and welding skills.
• Basic computer knowledge for office tasks.
• Ability to identify plant problems and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
• Basic English language proficiency.

Professional Experience:

• 4+ years in rotary equipment maintenance (steel, fertilizer, or petrochemical plants).
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, fabrication, and welding.

Key Performance Indicators:

• On-time completion of preventive maintenance tasks (%).
• Compliance with safety targets (%).
• Reduction in repetitive equipment breakdowns (% time/numbers).
