About the job Team Leader - Restaurants
The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our team delivers top-notch service and maintains high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure that all team members are properly trained on company policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all supplies and ingredients are well-stocked
- Create and implement strategies to increase sales and improve overall restaurant performance
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide feedback
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new menus, promotions, and marketing initiatives
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor and control costs, including labor and food costs, to meet budget targets
- Train and develop team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Handle scheduling and shift assignments to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the customer experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional service
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or related field is a plus
