Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Officer to join our team. As a Senior IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment
- Monitor and maintain the performance of IT systems, identifying and resolving any potential issues
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of data and systems
- Train and support end-users on new systems and software
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement new technologies and solutions
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the IT industry and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide regular reports on IT system performance and make recommendations for optimization
- Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of network security and firewalls
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus
