Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Roller to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, specifically rollers, to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of construction projects. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain rollers to compact and level various materials such as soil, asphalt, and concrete. - Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning. - Monitor and maintain equipment performance, identifying and reporting any issues to the supervisor. - Follow project specifications and instructions to achieve desired compaction and smoothness of surfaces. - Work closely with the construction team to coordinate and complete tasks efficiently. - Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. - Train and supervise junior operators to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment. - Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 5 years of experience operating rollers in a construction environment. - Valid heavy equipment operator license. - Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures. - Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. - Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. - Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
