About the job Welder
- Adhere to OHSE legislations, standards and the Organization Policy's & Procedures.
- Reviews and interprets technical drawings and standard operating procedures of works required for MIG/TIG Welding operations.
- Makes appropriate use of proper tools, measuring instruments, gages, process sheets and operating manuals to assure the welding machine uptime and product quality output.
- Established the designated jigs and fixtures to achieve best fitting of parts and materials for welding works.
- Sets up the welding machines to assure the most effective and efficient welding process.
- Performs the welding on parts and materials in the most skilful manner, e.g. horizontal, vertical or overhead directions.
- Performs manual checks on welded joints/surfaces and applies grinding works as necessary to ensure product quality output.
- Records and maintains proper storage of work-in-process materials to assure production continuity.
- Reports immediately to direct superiors any problem encountered during the welding works.
- Make suggestions of any process or methods improvement affecting the conditions of welding works
- Maintains cleanliness and order on the designated work station before the end of each shift schedule.
- Consistently produces accurate welding work to the required quality standard and as per the timelines.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in welding / fabrication line.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to make decisions regarding products conformity to standards.
