About the job TRADER / COMPRADOR DE CAFE / JUNIOR COMMODITY ADVISOR COFFEE
- Identifies prospects and contacts potential clients for coffee consulting, brokerage, and price risk management.
- Travel to farms, mills, and export facilities in coffee producing regions throughout Latin America.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date records of customer information in CRM.
- Compose coffee market reports on a regular basis.
- Prepare and conduct seminars on coffee price risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Finance, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Two to five years experience working at a company involved in the production, processing, trading, or export of coffee.
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
- Superior interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation and marketing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze the coffee market and form a market opinion.
- Ability to learn technical products and explain complex financial products in clear, simplified terms to prospective clients.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
