Our client is an international law firm with a growing Hong Kong disputes practice. The firm's Hong Kong litigation and arbitration team is led by a highly regarded partner with over twenty years' experience in the region, recognised as a Dispute Resolution Star in international arbitration by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific and ranked in leading directories for construction and infrastructure litigation. The team handles a diverse caseload spanning Hong Kong, Mainland China and cross-border jurisdictions, acting for listed companies, major contractors, state-owned enterprises and multinational corporates.

The successful candidate will work directly with the hiring partner on a broad range of international commercial arbitration and court proceedings, with exposure to major arbitral institutions including HKIAC, CIETAC, SIAC, ICC and LCIA. Caseload will include construction and infrastructure disputes, joint venture and shareholders disputes, international sale of goods matters, and enforcement of arbitral awards across multiple jurisdictions. The role also involves supporting mediation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, conducting legal research across common law and civil law systems, drafting submissions and procedural documents, and assisting with cross-border recognition and enforcement proceedings in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Candidates should have approximately 2 years' post-qualification experience, admitted to practise in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction, with some exposure to commercial litigation or international arbitration. Fluency in English and Cantonese is required, with Mandarin strongly preferred given the team's significant Mainland China caseload. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple arbitral regimes, and eager to develop specialist expertise in international arbitration within a partner-led team that offers high-quality work and direct mentorship from a market-recognised practitioner.
