Senior Associate/Managing Associate (Bengoshi) | Tokyo

Our client, a top tier international law firm, is seeking a talented M&A associate to join their corporate division in Tokyo. This role focuses on advising on strategic corporate transactions and financial sponsor deals. The successful candidate will be an Associate/Managing Associate (Bengoshi) with significant cross-border M&A experience, reporting directly to the Partners, this position involves a variety of corporate M&A activities, providing counsel to corporations and financial sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review legal documents.
• Offer commercial legal advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Network with clients to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Japan (Bengoshi), 6-10+ Post-qualified Experience (PQE)
• Experience in a leading commercial law firm is  preferred.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English.
