Position Overview: Our client, an elite international firm globally renowned for its corporate investigations practice group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced US-qualified lawyer to join their investigations team as an Investigations/White Collar Crime Associate in Beijing. 

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and be a US qualified attorney. This role focuses on compliance and investigations, particularly in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and anti-corruption matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting internal investigations related to white collar crime, including fraud, bribery, and corruption.
  • Advising clients on compliance with FCPA and other anti-corruption laws and regulations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies for clients.
  • Representing and defending clients in interactions with regulatory authorities and during enforcement actions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal support.
  • Preparing and reviewing legal documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Staying abreast of developments in relevant laws and regulations to provide proactive advice.

Qualifications:

  • US qualified attorney with 3-4 years of PQE in investigations and white-collar crime.
  • Extensive experience in FCPA and anti-corruption compliance.
  • High fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
