Corporate M&A Associate/Managing Associate (Bengoshi) | Tokyo

Our client, a top-tier international law firm, seeks an M&A associate for their corporate division handling global corporate deals. The role involves advising on strategic corporate transactions and financial sponsor deals across Asia, Europe, and beyond. The ideal candidate will be an Associate/Managing Associate (Bengoshi) with cross-border M&A expertise, joining the firms global Corporate team in Tokyo. Reporting to the Partners, the role will engage in diverse corporate M&A activities, advising corporations and financial sponsors.

Primary Duties:

• Draft and review legal documents.
• Provide commercial legal advice.
• Supervise junior team members.
• Network with clients to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background.
• Licensed to practice law in Japan (Bengoshi).
• Experience in a leading law firm is a plus.
• Fluency in Japanese and English.
