Position Overview
The Asia Team Lead / Senior Manager for Legal Talent Acquisition & Development will oversee the Legal Recruitment & Development (LRD) team in Asia with a focus on qualified lawyers and reporting to the Director of Global Legal Talent Acquisition & Development. This role involves managing qualified lawyer recruitment, professional development, diversity initiatives, and alumni engagement. The position requires collaboration with various departments to implement firm-wide strategies and local initiatives. On offer is an Associate Director or Director position, depending on the level of experience and seniority of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Fee Earner Recruitment: Manage all aspects of lateral the recruitment of associates of counsels, and partners, including maintaining and enhancing relationships with partners and recruitment agencies, onboarding, and relocation.
Graduate Recruitment: Coordinate and attend recruitment events, maintain candidate relationships, and monitor market trends.
Training & Development: Oversee training programs, compliance with CPD/CLE requirements, and the review process for associates and foreign legal consultants (FLICs).
Diversity & Inclusion: Support and implement diversity initiatives and programs.
General Administration: Manage budgets, maintain compliance with data protection and legal policies, and organize LRD events.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or law degree with 10+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Highly fluent English, fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Strong IT skills, fast and accurate organisational skills
