Associate (Financial Markets) | 2-4 PQE | Hong Kong

Our client, a top international law firm, is seeking a 2-4 PQE Associate to join its Financial Markets team in Hong Kong. This is an exceptional opportunity to become an all-rounded financial services lawyer working with leading partners and gain exposure to a broad range of complex, cross-border financial services-related work covering regulatory, derivatives, and funds-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on financial services regulatory matters, including compliance, licensing, and cross-border regulatory issues.
• Handle derivatives transactions, including structured products, securities, and related documentation.
• Support the funds practice, including fund formation, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters.
• Work across a broad range of financial markets matters, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to develop expertise in multiple areas.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on high-value, cross-border transactions and regulatory projects.

Key Requirements:

• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm, with a focus on financial markets.
• Experience in both of the following areas:
  • Financial Services Regulatory
  • Derivatives/Structured Finance
    
• Experience in funds is an advantage.
• Excellent academic background.
• International law firm experience preferred.
• Business level proficiency in Mandarin and English.
