A prestigious international law firm is actively seeking a Senior Associate/Of Counsel to join their dynamic Finance team. This pivotal role involves assisting clients in the development of innovative products and services, and providing support on significant regulatory, transactional, and operational change projects. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors including asset management, funds, insurance, banking, alternative finance, crypto, consumer and consumer credit, as well as global financial services.

Requirements

• A Senior Lawyer qualified in common law with a minimum of 6-10 years of relevant work experience gained from a top-tier law firm, recognized financial institution or industry participant.

• Demonstrable experience in financial services regulatory and/or commercial/transactional work for financial institutions.

• Proficiency in Singapore financial regulations including the Payment Services Act, the Securities and Futures Act and related MAS regulations.

Additional Specialist IT Knowledge

• Knowledge of and interest in emerging technologies such as Web3 & metaverse.

• Understanding of tokenomics and crypto business models.

• Experience in cryptoasset regulation e.g. token opinions, business structuring, incl. offshoring.
