HR and Development Coordinator | International Law Firm | Hong Kong

You will play a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. This position involves coordinating recruitment efforts, giving support to internship programmes across the greater China offices, managing onboarding processes, and supporting professional development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for talent, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for fostering employee growth.
Duties include:
- Coordinate interview processes, including scheduling and escorting recruits
- Update and maintain recruitment files (including incoming job applications from direct and agency sources), reports, and other materials
- Handle recruiting expenses and process reimbursements.
- Coordinate follow-up correspondence with recruits.
- Assist in planning and coordinating the Intern and Summer Program.
- Organise legal staff activities such as luncheons, seminars, and social events.
- Assist with onboarding processes and programmes
- Support the talent acquisition team with recruiting local hires, including Associates, paralegals, and interns.
- Coordinate virtual and in-person lawyer training programs in Asia offices.
- Assist with accreditation and credit applications for training programs.
- Liaise with the Law Society on practice certificate renewals.
- Create surveys, charts, review feedback, and suggest improvements for training programs.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Legal Talent and Professional Development teams, including organizing events and handling vendor invoices.
- Gather feedback from employees to improve engagement and retention strategies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition or HR role, preferrably in a well known law firm.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using HR software and applicant tracking systems, experience and competency in the us of law firm software such as iManage, Filesite, Workshare, are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
