A leading international law firm, renowned for its award-winning suite of top tier legal services and global reach, is seeking a Project Data Migration Specialist to help implement a new Accounting & Finance System.  This role would be full time for a contract period of up to 18 months.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with both internal and external Accounting & Finance (A&F) and IT teams to implement and migrate its existing data to another cloud-based state-of-the-art accounting and finance system that encompasses a wide range of A&F functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, trust accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

You will lead and manage the implementation and rollout of the new system and other financial applications across the firms three offices in the region. Key responsibilities include consolidating and ensuring the accurate implementation of customisation requirements from key stakeholders, coordinating data migration, testing, training activities, overseeing application integration processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing data migration, supporting data reconciliation, designing test cases, and reviewing testing results to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will track project status, timelines, and milestones, present regular updates to the firm's leadership, and collaborate with global and local IT teams to resolve functional issues. The role also involves preparing operation manuals and other documents, arranging user training, managing change requests, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with the cloud implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines, professional accounting qualifications, and at least 10 years of relevant project management and accounting experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment. Strong communication keyholder and project management skills as well as a high fluency in English and Chinese are essential.
