About the job Document Processing Specialist | US Law Firm | HKG

WHAT

We are working with a leading US-headquartered international law firm with offices across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The firm is known for its top-tier capital markets, M&A, and private equity practice. We are looking for a Document Processing Specialist to join their Hong Kong office, reporting into a broader US-based document production team as part of a "follow-the-sun" support model.

ABOUT

This is a specialist document production role for someone who knows Microsoft Word inside out. You will be responsible for formatting, amending, and producing complex legal documents including prospectuses, transaction agreements, and court filings to exacting firm standards. The work is precision-driven and cannot be automated — the firm uses a hands-on, manual approach to document formatting because the quality bar is simply too high for automated tools. You will need genuine expertise in Word formatting (styles, numbering, tables, cross-referencing) and ideally familiarity with Edgar for US securities filings. The role works a Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule to align with the US team, and you will sit a two-hour practical assessment as part of the interview process to demonstrate speed, accuracy, and tool proficiency.

YOU

You should have substantial experience as a word processing operator, document specialist, or legal secretary within a professional services environment, with deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Word. You must be able to work quickly and accurately under time pressure — speed, tool knowledge, and precision are the three things that matter most. Familiarity with Edgar filing systems is strongly preferred. The firm offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package. This role is based in the office with flexibility on shift timing (either 12pm to 8pm or 9:30am to 6pm, Wednesday through Sunday).
