About the job Office Manager | Top Tier Int'l Law Firm | HKG

WHO

An elite international law firm, known for its top-tier corporate, litigation and regulatory practices, is seeking an experienced Office Manager for its mid-sized Hong Kong office. The firm operates across major financial centres worldwide and is recognised for its close-knit, collegiate culture and commitment to service excellence for both its lawyers and clients. The role reports to the Hong Kong Managing Partner, with a dotted line to the firm's global Chief Talent Officer, and oversees a compact office services team alongside broader coordination responsibilities across the office's administrative functions.

WHAT

The Office Manager acts as the central point of contact between firm leadership and all non-legal support functions, translating operational priorities into day-to-day execution. Core responsibilities span facilities and vendor management (including landlord liaison, lease matters and key supplier relationships), oversight of the office services team, and coordination of secretarial coverage across the legal support function. The role also carries meaningful HR-adjacent responsibilities — supporting headcount planning, performance review cycles and staff cost budgeting alongside the HR team, and playing a central part in resolving office and employee relations matters. Financial oversight duties include supporting the annual office budget, reviewing invoices and expenses, and coordinating local cash flow with the finance function. The role additionally leads internal communications, firm-wide policy rollout, and the planning of office events and client functions.

YOU

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, together with at least eight years of office management experience, ideally gained within a law firm or professional services environment. You will bring strong working knowledge of local workplace compliance requirements and demonstrate genuine comfort operating across strategic, operational and people-related matters in equal measure. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential, as is a professional, discreet approach to handling sensitive and confidential information. You will be a natural relationship-builder, equally credible liaising with senior leadership as with facilities vendors and support staff, and comfortable balancing autonomy with close collaboration across HR, finance and firm leadership.
