Stantec is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision project in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including street lighting, power cables, substations, telecom
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess project requirements
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical systems
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions
  • Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation
  • Conduct electrical calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure design and construction meet project requirements
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management
  • Strong technical background
  • Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems, products and materials
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation
  • Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements
  • Complete project understanding in a given discipline, from start to hand-over.
  • MUST HAVE experience in Street lighting, power cables, substations, telecom
  • DEWA/EWE/RTA approval (MUST)
  • MUST HAVE experience working with supervision consultants
  • MUST HAVE full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the emirates of Dubai
  • Valid driver's license (Preferred)
