Stantec is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
  • Reviewing, approving and processing all structural technical submittals.
  • Answering RFIs related to Structure and Architecture.
  • Assist in supervising the work of all structural activities and operations, maintaining progress records and reporting.
  • Reviewing contractors structural change order proposals and preparing recommendations to Structural PM.
  • Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
  • Reviewing contractors claims related to structural works and preparing recommendations for claims.
  • Reviewing the contractors project record documents relevant to their discipline.
  • Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the structural works.
  • Signing off on completed structural works with completed documentation and maintaining the required record.
  • Perform all other duties given by the Resident Engineer

Qualifications and Preferred Specifications:

  • Minimum Ten 10 years experience in Structural engineering with international consultant firms and with five (5) years in the UAE/Middle East.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Understanding of engineering principles, structural analysis, design concepts, and other Structural and building process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent HSE knowledge and awareness.
  • Excellent local Authority knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions.
